~ Dress... Check!!~

I purchased my dream dress on Saturday!! Well, technically my mom purchased it but I am so excited to have that checked off my list!! I'm so glad that my Mom, Aunt Tammie, Granny and friend Leah got to go with me to see it in person!! I am also thankful to Lisa at Tulle in Sherwood for being so kind and helping me find my dream dress!! If anyone is looking for or knows someone who is looking for any formals or wedding attire send them to Tulle! The staff is amazing!!

~"The Dress" has Arrived~

Much to my surprise I received a call on Tuesday from Lisa at Tulle, a bridal and formal wear store in Sherwood. I had contacted her about "the dress" that I found at Low's and discovered it was $300 less at her store, not to mention I didn't have to fight through 30 other girls to find it. She didn't have the dress in the store at the time but she had ordered it and was expecting to receive it on January 31st. Well, she called to let me know it had come in early and I was welcome to come try it on before my appointment date!! Needless to say I was VERY excited!! So I told her I would come in on Saturday to try it on, but I didn't ask her to hold it. I didn't want to be a bother and if someone else liked it I wanted them to be able to try it on.

Now here I sit.. Fretting over whether or not the dress will be there on Saturday when I go to try it on.. If you haven't noticed yet I worry about things.. A lot.. And when I'm planning one of the most important days of my life I worry even more.

So in my spare time in between worrying, working, and going to school I have managed to create my " Will you be my bridesmaid" cards. I really like them and  I can't wait for them to get here!! As soon as I send the cards out and know the girls got them I will post a picture of what they look like. They are awesome if I do say so myself! I can't wait for my bridesmaids to see them!!

~Engagements!!~

We are planning on having some engagement photos taken by my friend Sean of Sean Cadzow Photography! We are set to have those done on Sunday, hopefully everything will work out! Sean has some really nice photographs on his website and on Facebook. His photography is beautiful and affordable!! Check him out!!

~Arkansas Bridal Show~

Today we went to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette January Bridal Show. There were so many people there as well as amazing vendors! I've never tasted so much cake in my life!! Of course you can never have too much cake!! It was nice to be able to see all of these vendors such as photographers, bakeries, caterers, and designers in one place so you could compare them easily. I know where my cake is coming from!! And there is a new bakery in Cabot, AR called "A Cherry on Top" who made the best mini cupcakes I have ever tasted! Actually, they made the best cake I've ever tasted!! Can you tell the food was my favorite part?? My Mom, Granny, and Aunt Tammie went along for the ride and I hope they had a good time!

~The Pursuit of the Perfect Dress~

 I'm so thankful that Brian's Mom could come down and spend the day with my Mom and I, looking for the perfect dress. We have gone to a few consignment shops in Little Rock and Benton to see if they had any wedding dresses that I liked, but I didn't find "the One". So on Saturday we decided to go to Low's in Brinkley and it was a tad bit overwhelming to say the least! Here are some photos for those of you who haven't been there.

This was the first time I had ever been to Low's Bridal, but I had heard that it's the place to go if you want to find "the" dress!! Well, I didn't buy a dress there but I did get to try on one that I REALLY like, I think it's "the One" material!!

~Save the Date!!~

We've Set a Date & Picked a Venue!!

After much searching and many discussions over the budget we have finally found a place to have our wedding and we've set a date!! We agreed on October 13, 2012 at Belgian Meadows in west Little Rock, AR. These are a few photos of Belgian Meadows.

 

You can also find Belgian Meadows on Facebook. They have quite a few pictures of the landscape.  Other people have also added their own photos of events that have taken place there. I am so glad and relieved to find a place that is so beautiful! Now on to everything else!! Next on the list is a dress!!
